While on a road trip with my family, we stayed at Hotel Winters for a couple nights' rest and exploring the area. Let me tell you, this is a BEAUTIFUL hotel! The whole hotel was spotless and very well kept, including our room and bathroom. I didn't see the other rooms but can vouch for how spacious and comfortable our room was. There were four of us and WE DID NOT GET IN EACH OTHER'S WAY or have to turn sideways when passing each other like in so many other hotels! We didn't have too many needs, but checking in and out, the staff really took the time to personalize the experience with prompt friendliness and care. The staff gave us a 10% discount for their onsite Carboni's Ristorante where we had a great dinner our second night there. The restaurant also has a smaller attached store with the best cinnamon rolls we ever ate the following morning as we were leaving. The hotel itself is well located within easy walking distance to a number of amenities and sights, and easy driving distance to slightly further activities. One of the things we wanted to see was the campus of UC Davis which was only about a 20 minute drive so it was really a convenient and lovely place to stay.

I stayed at Hotel Winters for a lil staycation with the girls, and we had a wonderful time! First, the check in was fast and friendly, they also offer a welcome wine which was a nice surprise. The lobby is honestly gorgeous, and as we were checking in, we saw another guest renting a bike (free of charge) from the hotel to explore the town, its these kind of thoughtful touches that brings a hotel to the next level for me! There was also lemon water and iced tea offered in the lobby. Getting to the room, the room was extremely spacious and clean. The bathroom was fully updated, and spotless. The provided toiletries felt very high end as well. The beds were extremely comfortable too, after a hot shower, I had a great night of sleep. The next time my friends and I are looking for a quick and close getaway, we definitely want to come back to Hotel Winters.

It is rare to find a hotel that perfectly balances immaculate, beautifully renovated, and expansive rooms with a soul. The spaces are clean, remarkably spacious, and maintained to an flawless standard. ​It is immediately obvious that the core principles of visionary management are deeply embedded in the DNA of every single employee. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, every interaction felt genuine, warm, and entirely focused on guest delight. They don't just provide service; they curate an experience of pure hospitality. ​The in-house restaurant is wonderful, and with the management's evident commitment to excellence, expanding the menu to include a few more authentic, high-end Italian options would easily elevate it to a standalone dining destination. ​We left feeling not just like satisfied customers, but like valued members of the hotel family and hence making time to write this review that they truly deserve.

My husband and I love this hotel! The staff are very friendly. The amenities are wonderful. I love the water stations on each floor, free bags of ice to take to your room. Proper soaps and shampoos in the bathroom, not the pump kind. Our room was quite large, comfortable and extremely clean with very comfortable beds. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.

What a fantastic way to kick off the Fourth of July weekend! We spent the evening at Hotel Winters for their rooftop fireworks viewing on July 3rd, and it couldn’t have been better. The rooftop is beautiful, with a great bar and comfortable lounge seating where we relaxed with a drink before dinner. We then headed downstairs to Carboni’s Ristorante for dinner. As always, the food was outstanding. The restaurant consistently delivers excellent food and service, making it one of our favorite places to dine. After dinner, we returned to the rooftop just in time for an incredible view of the fireworks. Watching the entire show from above the town was such a memorable experience. It was the perfect combination of great food, a wonderful atmosphere, and an unforgettable evening. I sincerely hope Hotel Winters makes this an annual tradition. I think it would be a hugely successful event, and people would gladly purchase tickets for the experience. The only suggestion I’d offer is regarding the canopy I’ve heard may be planned for the rooftop. While I completely understand how valuable shade would be during the summer, I hope any design preserves the rooftop’s amazing sightlines for events like the Fourth of July fireworks, because that view is truly something special. Highly recommended. We can’t wait to come back!

One of the most beautiful and charming hotels I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment you see the building, you’re impressed—but walking inside is where it truly wins you over. The entire property is spotless, with wide, carpeted hallways, elegant light fixtures, and thoughtfully curated artwork throughout. Then you get to the room—and it’s anything but standard. We stayed in a king room with soaring ceilings, beautiful, clean furnishings, and a spacious bathroom featuring an incredible large shower. Everything about the stay felt elevated, comfortable, well-designed and super clean. The bed was extremely cozy, and the overall atmosphere made it hard to leave. On top of that, the staff were amazing—friendly and welcoming.
